The Reserve at Lake Austin is pleased to announce that it has been named the No. 4-ranked fundraising team of the 2025 Walk to End Alzheimer’s in the category for the American Senior Housing Association, having raised $76,000. The community also ranked in the top 50 of all fundraisers across the U.S.
Amy Ford, the Director of Sales and Marketing and Mentor at The Reserve at Lake Austin, accepted the award at a recent National Team Recognition event held in Anaheim, Calif. She attended the event with a delegation from the Capital of Texas Chapter of the Alzheimer’s Association, of which she serves as Chairwoman of the Board of Directors.
“We are deeply honored that The Reserve at Lake Austin team has been recognized as one of the top teams of the 2025 Walk to End Alzheimer’s in the American Senior Housing Association category,” said Ford. “This achievement reflects the heart, compassion, and unwavering dedication of our residents, families, and team members who walk together in support of those affected by Alzheimer’s. We are proud to stand alongside our peers in the fight to advance care, support, and research, and we remain committed to bringing hope to every life touched by this disease.”
Ford shared photos of The Reserve at Lake Austin’s fundraising events and answered questions about how other communities around the country could engage residents, families, staff, and vendors to create a successful walk team.
